You may be asking yourself what on earth we're talking about here, at Fergs Kayaks we have 'kayak pod's' in both Wellington and Auckland. It's the name we give to a group paddle. Join in on a pod any time and take advantage of benefits such as having other people to paddle with, learning new techniques, and picking the brains of our guides and instructors. These pod's are a great training tool as well, especially for anyone looking at competitions or big distance paddles.

Hey there, the name's Penny Ray. Throughout my later years at high school I got involved with outdoor education. So now when I'm not out riding horses, I kayak around bays and climb steep cliffs. Over the last year and a half the team at Fergs Kayaks have welcomed me on board. You can catch me most days around Fergs Kayaks taking groups out kayaking or inside rock climbing. If you ask the rest of the team they reckon you'd have a better chance spotting me at the bar on a Saturday night having a cheeky drink or two. But being brought up on the farm my dad  made sure I know only the best will do and to think before you act. Aside from all my adventuring, my hobbies include going back to Mum and Dad's house for home-cooked meals, while Dad gets stuck fixing my car.
